FIA, Inc. is a few miles from Tacoma, WA in the south Puget
Sound area in close proximity to Seattle and the Seatac International
Airport. From this location, Global FIA has established an international
customer base that extends onto every continent and into a wide
range of business sectors. |
Global FIA's primary business is in the areas of Flow Injection
Analysis (FIA), Sequential Injection Analysis (SIA), process analysis,
and sample handling systems. In these areas, Global FIA offers both
Products and R&D services. Most of the products included in our
product line were developed by our scientists to meet customer requirements
and market needs. Frequently, as part of the product development
cycle, Global FIA personnel are asked to offer consulting services
and custom application development. These activities are supported
by R&D carried out by a highly skilled, experienced and innovative
technical staff.
Global FIAıs strength lies in its responsiveness to customer needs,
and the large network of business alliances that it has established.

OUR CUSTOMERS
Global FIA has a broad international customer base for both its
products and services that stretches from industry to academia to
national laboratories. Industrial customers include chemical, refining,
food, aircraft, paper and pulp, medical, pharmaceutical, mining
and oil exploration companies.
Many of our customers come to us through our Internet
web site and through contacts made at conferences and exhibitions.
Key to the success of interactions with our customers is the establishment
of a professional friendship that allows close communications, a
clear understanding of customer needs, and responsiveness that leads
to solution that fit the need.
COMPANY RESOURCES
Global FIA's greatest resource is its people, with their technology
expertise and demonstrated innovation in the companyıs fields of
operations. The three partners in the company have a combined 50
years of experience in these fields from previous careers with major
chemical, refining, and mining industries. They are inventors on
34 patents and authors of 57 publications in refereed journals.
Global FIA's facilities include a fully equipped chemical
laboratory, prototyping shop, and instrument assembly facility.
In addition, through an alliance with Valco Instruments Company
Inc., Global FIA has access to state-of-the-art machining and engineering
facilities. A close working relationship with several academic groups
and government laboratories further enhances the pool of available
expertise that can be tapped to address a new application

30 years at Shell Development Co. where he reached the position
of Senior Staff Research Chemist.

Ph.D. (Analytical) Louisiana State University Experience includes
20 years at DOW Chemical Company where he reached the position
of Associate Scientist. Research was focused on the application
of the science of Analytical Chemistry to the problems of
continuous process analysis and control.
Work involved:
- development and modification of sensors
- development of automated instruments
- research in methods of sampling
- and the application of all of these to real-world process
chemistry problems.
