Global FIA's line of FIA/SIA FloPro instruments are the most versatile commercially available. They can be used for routine, on-line, and field analyses applications, as well as R&D and method development. With their modular design, based on state-of-the-art panel-mounted components, the instruments can easily and quickly be configured to perform essentially any FIA or SIA methodology; or re-configured to change methodologies. A powerful, full-feature FlowTEK software, described in more detail in another chapter, was designed specifically for FIA/SIA by an expert in the field.

All FloPro instruments are custom designed and tailored to the customer's applications.

The FloPros can be operated with either a PC or a laptop.

A standard 5 3/4" (145mm) square panel is the basic building block of Global FIA analyzers. Each of our components are mounted on these panels which can then be fastened onto one of our FloPro analyzers. Connection to an internal 24VDC power supply and appropriate digital or serial control ports is conveniently achieved via a clearly labeled distribution board mounted inside the FloPro analyzer. Global FIA has three basic FloPro models. The FloPro 9P has nine removable panels for mounting components, and is the recommended model for R&D, method development, complex methodologies, or systems performing two methods simultaneously.

The FloPro 4P, with only 4 panels, has a small footprint, and is best suited for routine and dedicated analyses.

The mini-FloPro is a compact fluid handling engine that is readily configured to perform a host of fluid manipulation operations.

For routine analyses, Global FIA's own Plate Sampler for 96 or 384 well plates, and a low-cost Mulitsampler for small batches of samples, can be interfaced with a FloPro.

Global FIA's personnel have an unmatched range of experience in FIA/SIA applications and methodology development, and can custom design an instrument tailored to your application. Global FIA is also available to develop new methodologies and applications.

The modular FIAFRAME cabinets, which are used to assemble FloPro instruments, can also be used to mount components for other solution handling applications and may be purchased separately. Included in the FIAFRAME are built-in AC and 24 VDC power outputs, analog and digital input and output ports, RS-485 connection, RS-485-RS-232 converter, and recorder ports.
