Valco Instrument Co. is one of the world's leading manufacturers
of high quality, state-of-the-art valves used in analytical
instrumentation. They manufacture a broad variety of valves
with a range of options in design and materials of construction.
While any of the valves which Valco manufactures is available
from Global FIA, only those designed for FIA/SIA applications
are listed in this catalog.
The C22/C22Z and
C24 lines are designed for sample injection (FIA). The
C22/C22Z valves take an external sample loop, while the
C24 valves are internal sample injector valves for injecting
very small fixed volumes (0.2, 0.5 and 1 ul). The C25/C25Z/C35Z
line is designed for stream selection (SIA). The C22, C24,
and C25 valves come with 1/4-28 ports, while the C22Z,C25Z,
and C35Z valves come
SAMPLE INJECTION
VALVES
Description
The Model C22 and C22Z Cheminert valves have rapidly established
themselves as popular injection valves for FIA. Their success
is attributable in part to their simple flat plate rotary
design and rapid switching capability (micro-electric actuation
model). The C22 valves with 1/4-28 threads, and the C22Z
valves with 10-32 threads, are available with 4, 6, 8, or
10 ports. Nuts and ferrules are provided. Port diameters
of either 0.030" or 0.060" are available for C22 valves
and 0.030" for all C22Z valves. Standard specifications
for all versions are 250 psi water at 75° C. On request,
the pressure rating can be as high as 600 psi liquid.
Materials
Wetted components are manufactured from high-tech inert
materials. Life tests indicate that these valves, when used
with fluids free of particulate and not reactive to valve
components (cannot be used in prolonged contact with high
concentrations of sulfuric or nitric acids, DMSO, THF or
methlyene chloride), typically give more than 60,000 movements
before requiring any service.

The 24 VDC micro-electric actuator is a new microprocessor
controlled model with state-of-the-art "intelligent" electronics.

MULTIPOSITION
VALVES
Description
The Model C25 and C25Z Cheminert valves are preferred valves
for SIA, as well as stream selection valves for automated
calibration systems and multiple sample stream analysis.
Like the C22 series, they have a simple,flat plate rotary
design.
The C25 valves with 1/4-28 threads and C25Z valves with
10-32 threads are available with 4,6,8,10 and 14 ports;
the C35Z valve has 26 ports. Nuts and ferrules are provided.
Port diameters of either 0.030" or 0.060" are available
for C25 valves and 0.030" for all C25Z valves. Standard
specifications for all versions are 250 psi water at 75°
C, except the C35Z valve, which has specification of 100
psi at 50° C. On request, the pressure rating can be as
high as 600 psi.
